THE EDGE ENSEMBLE THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS

AN EDGE CAFÉ PRODUCTION OF

American Buffalo by David Mamet

What is an Edge Café production you might be wondering? It is the thing we do now and again in between our four main productions each year. It is designed to allow ensemble members to explore material in which they are particularly interested. Edge Café productions are generally rehearsed readings of various forms of dramatic literature!

What value do you put on a rare coin? How much is an American buffalo nickel worth? And what does it all mean to the three protagonists of David Mamet’s American Buffalo? In this rehearsed reading, part of the Edge Cafe Reading Series, Mamet takes on the task of replacing the iambic pentameter pattern of speech with the blunt, vulgar and profane speech – the “rough poetry” – of modern times.

Scott Rodenhauser will direct Damien Licata, Bruce Holloway and Jonathan Benney in this Edge Café production of Mamet’s play. There will be two readings only, on Saturday, August 1, at 7:30 PM and Sunday, August 2, at 2:30 PM at The Edge Theater, 310 Marlboro St., Suite 112, Keene, NH.

Admission is $12 general general audience, $10 for students and seniors 65+ years. Tickets must be purchased at the door. Cash or checks only.

Seating for Edge Café is first come, first serve only. We will not be taking reservations.

Viewer discretion is advised.
